07/12/2024: Great locations with views across the Marais de la Seudre and River Seudre and where, in the evening, you can enjoy watching the sunset in a more formal dining experience.
Staff were friendly and attentive, they offer good varied menu with plenty of locally produced shellfish and some good fish dishes.
We chose items from the Les Embruns Menu at 34€
Pana cotta d'asperges, copeaux de jambon de Bayonne et de parmesan (Asparagus panna cotta, Bayonne ham and parmesan shavings) and 6 huitres/Oysters M3, fine Yves Papin. Followed by Filet de bar, asperges vertes crues et cuites, sucs de cuisson (Sea bass fillet, raw and cooked green asparagus, cooking juices) and Suprême de pintade, chlorophylle de persil, légumes croquants (Guinea fowl supreme, parsley chlorophyll, crunchy vegetables)
and finished with Jonchée des marais, coulis de fruits rouge (Jonchée with red fruit coulis). This little fromage frais-type cheese is made of curds from cow's, ewe's or goat's milk.
Food was well presented and well cooked with great flavours. The Fruits De Mer being served at other tables looked amazing and clearly were being enjoyed by diners. You need to book, the restaurant is popular and busy. Would recommend trying this restaurant if you are in the area.
30/11/2024: Magnificent setting, freshness and quality of products, very friendly and efficient welcome and service.
