A place to stay, a landmark, a must-see. It's like home. It always starts with a beer and gyoza to start, just for an aperitif, as if we were pretending not to want to stay. But of course we stay, for the katsu, for the ramen, for this fantastic gyudon. We have another beer and a mochi for dessert. And we smile, because here the service is friendly, human, family-oriented. We smile because we ate well, cheaply, simply. We smile because we feel good, like at home, like at home.

As a fan of Japanese cuisine, I truly appreciate the quality of the dishes, as well as their freshness and authenticity. The owners and staff at Le Rez-de-chaussée (located on Rue Sorbier in the 20th arrondissement) are particularly welcoming and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant.

You wouldn't expect to eat so well if you just stopped at the front and even the interior of the restaurant, but in fact the Japanese dishes are authentic and well made! We had chicken katsu and katsu curry, it was delicious!

Great local unassuming place with fast and kind service. Didn’t expect the Karaage to be that tasty, but it was. Home made noodles also lovely. Great simple cooking, zero pretence.

Everything I love: authentic recipes, ramen and gyoza made entirely on-site. The exact taste of dishes you can have in Japan. A passionate owner who shares his experience and is committed to doing excellent work. Hats off to you!
