L'Auberge D'Augy sur Augy

We went there last night with my partner and our two children. We were accepted without a reservation. We received a very warm welcome from Marie and the entire team. The meal was delicious and plentiful. Excellent value for money. Beautifully presented dishes and attractively set tables. We will definitely return.

We came for the first time this Saturday evening, and we've rarely eaten so well. Everything was perfect. Well done! We'll be back.

A wonderful discovery! The meal was absolutely divine, everything was perfect and prepared with care. A truly delightful experience from beginning to end… I highly recommend it!

I must admit I'm quite surprised given the many very positive reviews. I came in with high hopes… but I really didn't enjoy it. And yet, I'm not someone who eats without salt: I usually season my food myself and I'm happy to add salt. This was just too much. The accras were extremely salty, the "perfect egg" was more like a hard-boiled egg, and the broth served with the lamb shank was practically undrinkable because of the salt. The seven-hour beef was tender, but lacked sauce and was also too salty. The desserts were decent, even good, but nothing memorable. On the other hand, I have no complaints about the service: the woman who looked after us was very kind and attentive, which made the experience pleasant despite everything. In the end, I don't understand the difference with the comments I had read: for me, the food remains just average, mainly because of really excessive seasoning.

We went there on the recommendation of a family friend, and we should thank her for the recommendation. The service was very pleasant and quick, and the quality of the food speaks for itself, at least as far as the dishes I tried are concerned. (The menu changes every 3-4 months.) I highly recommend it.
