I went back to this restaurant where I'd fallen in love with the puff pastry with porcini mushrooms and fresh foie gras, but unfortunately, the food wasn't the same as it was two years ago... the portions are still generous, but they've lost all their finesse. A shame.

After our hike, we had some drinks and this terrace was very welcome.

And you can taste it from the very first bite. 🍽 My last meal was simply exceptional: flavorful and crispy accras, an absolutely remarkable seafood rougail, incredibly delicate exotic-style cockerel… and to finish, a floating island like I’d never tasted before. A dessert of rare delicacy, as beautiful as it was delicious. But beyond the dishes, there is above all the soul of this inn. Each dish is crafted with a true sense of aesthetics: colors, presentation, balance of flavors… everything exudes authenticity and a passion for the craft. At Nounou's, they don't cook "just to make food." They cook to bring joy. And that makes all the difference. Michel and Nounou run an extraordinary establishment, almost timeless. Here, you don't come for a quick bite between obligations. You come to take your time. Time to savor. Time to connect. Time to let the flavors tell their story. In a world where everything moves too fast, this inn is a precious respite. A true benchmark restaurant. A small temple of gastronomy and sharing nestled in a charming village in the Haute-Loire region.
