Impeccable service, very reasonable prices, and delicious food. One star less because the salmon steak was ordered medium-rare, which wasn't served, and the risotto was a bit bland. The decor is very basic. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this restaurant!

My wife and I came to dinner at the Auberge d’Hauterive, this family-run restaurant owned by Alain and Charli, at the entrance to the village. We had already been there five years ago for lunch, and the pleasure of returning was undiminished. The ingredients are of remarkable quality, and the portions are generous. Isabelle ordered oysters au gratin with white radishes, delicate and flavorful, and I chose the foie gras, which was excellent. We then enjoyed the famous burgers, one with foie gras and the other with wild boar, accompanied by a very good bottle of Irancy, before finishing with a Courchevel. But what makes this place truly special is the warm welcome from the hosts, who are attentive and always available. You feel right at home. We booked lunch at this inn, intrigued by word of mouth. The restaurant is easy to find, located on the roadside at the intersection of two main roads. It's a typical village inn with a rather unassuming facade. Once inside, you'll discover a friendly atmosphere and a very warm welcome. The menu is complemented by daily specials on the chalkboard. These include some very original dishes such as the snail omelet, the wild boar burger (local, of course), and poached eggs with Époisses cheese sauce. On the plate, you'll find generous portions of traditional cuisine. The food is hearty, delicious, and above all, you can tell it's homemade. Special mention goes to the semi-grilled scallops and the beef bourguignon, which were excellent! The service is efficient and well-paced. Excellent value for money. Be sure to book, especially for lunch, as it's a popular spot and fills up quickly!

A small inn I stumbled upon. Very good homemade burgers. Good, warm atmosphere. A pleasant time.

We enjoyed an excellent meal with our children during a stopover. A wonderful discovery! The waiter was pleasant (even on December 26th), and the food was delicious; young and old alike thoroughly enjoyed it. A word of advice: don't hesitate!

Lunch today, December 20, 2025... Excellent meal (goat cheese toast salad, wild boar burger, poached eggs in red wine sauce, and shrimp tagliatelle) very generous portions!!! Very friendly owner!!! We will definitely be back!

The food was good and local, but €41.50 for the veal chop (a bit pricey…). If I could have seen the price written properly on the large chalkboard, I would have done without it… The menu board was illegible, and I had to get up to read the daily specials… Furthermore, I spilled my coffee, and they didn't even ask if I wanted another one. But you can count on the bill… Not a single gesture of goodwill, and for my first time there, I certainly won't be going back!

An incredible experience… Breathtaking dishes, extraordinary service… I recommend it 1000 percent!!! Well done and keep it up 👏
