L'Auberge du houx sur La Houssiere

We had a great weekend, the hosts were very welcoming, the meals were very good, the rooms were great and the surroundings were top-notch.

Excellent restaurant! The welcome is warm and friendly, the dishes are simple, good, and above all, delicious. The menu is intentionally simple, making it easy to choose, and the prices are very reasonable. The small outdoor area is also very pleasant for enjoying your meal. Special mention goes to the omelet offered in the children's menu: an excellent idea that's a welcome change from the usual hot dogs, hamburgers, or ham and chips! A must-try, which I highly recommend. A great find!

We had a meal at the Auberge du Houx to sample Vosges cuisine: we were particularly impressed by the quality of the service (friendliness, smiles, etc.) and the delicious and generous portions. We ate outside, enjoying a dish of potato and bacon stew with Munster cheese and a dish of spaetzle with Munster cheese and bacon, both served with salad. For dessert, we had blueberry tart and mirabelle plum sorbet. Afterwards, we took a short walk around the Lac de la Ballastière.

A very nice inn, the surroundings are very peaceful and the food is very good. If you're passing through, don't hesitate to stop by.

We received a very warm welcome at this lovely, typical Vosges restaurant! While visiting the region, we enjoyed discovering the regional dishes, prepared with care. The ingredients are of very high quality and very reasonably priced! We highly recommend this restaurant! We wish the new owners every success!

We came as a family one evening and ate on the outdoor terrace. A pleasant and quiet place. We didn't stay overnight. The dish was hearty and typical of the region. The menu looked appetizing!

A very warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere, local produce on the menu, we didn't stay long enough to try everything… the salads are generous, the flammenkuches are delicious (the goat cheese one, a delight!) and the crème brûlées with Vosges candy are a treat… In’houx bliable!
