Excellent meal, perfectly cooked fish, which is becoming rare these days, very neat presentation and very pleasant service, everything is there for a great time!

First visit to Epinal - and hopefully not our last. Le Bagatelle is a really nice restaurant overlooking the town kayaking course on the Moselle river (Canal des Vosges) We tried the Bagatelle set menu which had excellent choices for both starters and mains. I had poached eggs and asparagus, my partner had artichote with salmon fritters for our starters. Both were delicious. We both had the rump steak for our main course which was perfect. Our desserts were also very, very good - The creme brulee and the poached pear floating in chocolate. The pictures describe these much better than I could... The service was relaxed, friendly and really helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. Wonderful restaurant.

The staff were lovely and always smiling. The food was delicious, the fish was cooked perfectly, and everything was simply perfect! A welcoming atmosphere and a feast fit for a king 👑

The service was pleasant. However, apart from the starter, the rest was average. I ordered my steak rare, but it was well-done. Furthermore, the cooking wasn't even; some parts were much undercooked than others. And finally, the chocolate mousse wasn't good. It tasted like industrial cocoa powder.
