Excellent, flavorful, and generous food. I highly recommend this place. And the owner is lovely; he spontaneously offered us a taste of the yellow curry! We loved it! We ordered Khao Pad Pad Thai and spring rolls—special mention, yummy! Absolutely amazing!

It's one of the best places to visit for Thai when in Old Nice. It's so tasty - restaurants should be first known for their food and in this Le Banthai aces it. Run by two very friendly hosts who make it a point to share the experience with you rather than serve and escape like other restaurants in tourist places. Highly recommend if you want a great meal. Watch out for the portion sizes - they are pretty generous

Our kids are begging to go back and have more curry and pad thai. Service was fast friendly and efficient we ordered a lot of items and it felt very reasonable. Highly recommend

Perhaps in an attempt to cater to European tastes, they added a ton of sugar to the stir-fried noodles and tom yum soup! Ugh, it's ruined the original Thai spiciness! 😭

25/08/2026: On vacation in Nice for four days, we were looking for a REAL Asian restaurant and stumbled upon this Vietnamese place. So, 4.1 is definitely not the rating it deserves because, for me, it's authentic and unpretentious, so I'd give it 5 stars. I'm of Cambodian origin, and I can guarantee that it's really good. In fact, they were full tonight, and they held our table even though we were 20 minutes late coming back from Monaco. The waiters are lovely, and it's nice to feel so welcome. Good job!
