Le Basilic sur Saint-Denis

We had lunch together, and at midday, the value for money is excellent (set menu at €26). However, the service unfortunately ruined the experience. The waiter was arrogant. I had asked for my meat to be cooked rare, but it arrived medium-rare. When he took it back from the kitchen, it came back to me well-done. Even worse, he then tried to explain to me, using his phone, what rare meat actually was… A particularly condescending attitude. In the end, I finally got my meat very rare, but accompanied by looks that clearly made me feel looked down upon. It's a real shame, because this attitude significantly marred what could have been a very pleasant lunch.

Bland couscous Mint tea in a bag! Disappointing

The couscous is excellent and the portions are generous. Reasonable prices, especially the pints at €3.90. Friendly waiters and a good atmosphere; there are big screens for watching matches.

A delightful day. Lunch on the terrace on a Thursday during the week. Impeccable, it's no longer a heatwave. Seven people under the parasols, a light, cool breeze. A good table, a good meal: baked eggs and a blue cheese and bacon burger. The bread is fresh, the water is cold, the meat is cooked perfectly, the burger and its fries are excellent. Thank you to Rachida for the tour of her place. Reasonable prices. A table worth the detour for its view of the basilica and the town hall. Place Victor Hugo is peaceful. Thank you all.

Perfect! My son and I loved it, the meal was delicious, and a little digestif at the end was a real treat. The staff were very welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant. The first time I went to this restaurant was with my children three years ago, so I definitely recommend it.

A very good experience at this restaurant. The couscous was excellent and the non-alcoholic mojito was truly delicious. The welcome is warm, and the staff are very kind and attentive. The restaurant is ideally located opposite the Basilica of Saint-Denis, which is a real plus. The atmosphere is pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend this place for the quality of the food and service.

We were warmly welcomed by a lady who seemed to be the owner. The couscous was good and plentiful.

We received a very warm welcome at lunchtime and had a very affordable set menu (main course and dessert) for €16.50. The portion was generous and beautifully presented, and the restaurant was conveniently located at the foot of the basilica. I highly recommend it.

Excellent restaurant at very reasonable prices, very pleasant staff. Second meal I've had there.
