Our second visit in two years on our cycling route; we deliberately crossed paths with it again. A very welcoming place with beautiful culture and good food. Go there!

An unusual spot tucked away on a street corner in a hamlet. A very pleasant place to have a drink, a bite to eat, and discover some excellent books before a relaxing afternoon at the beach. Two daily specials are offered, all homemade, featuring original, local, simple cuisine full of flavor, and suitable for vegetarians.

A haven of peace and culture! Le Bateau Livre is an absolutely delightful place where time seems to stand still. It's so pleasant to browse among the shelves, guided by passionate booksellers who share their favorites with contagious enthusiasm. The bookstore-café-restaurant concept is wonderful: you stop by for a drink or a bite to eat, but the trap is inevitable... it's impossible to leave without a stack of books under your arm! A warm and inspiring place not to be missed.

Coline, Marielle, Laurie, and the whole team offer a selection of excellent books, from classics to thought-provoking and critical thinkers. As for the meals, they are simply delicious, the portions are generous, and it's best to reserve both a table and desserts 😋 Everything is homemade, using fresh, local ingredients. As my husband says, "Coline, don't let anyone else cook!" 😉

What a wonderful place! A delightful blend of a bookstore offering invaluable advice, a bistro serving local organic produce, and a festive space hosting concerts, meet-ups, and exhibitions. A must-see. All brought to life by an enthusiastic team.

What a lovely surprise after a day at the beach! We loved the terrace, the whole place with its large bookcase, its little nooks and crannies, the warm welcome, the easy conversation, and the gluten-free cakes! We'll definitely be back for lunch and to enjoy a truly relaxing experience. And we can't wait to return in winter to enjoy the warmth of the wood-burning stove.
