Le Bistrot de l' Hotel Alpen Valley sur Combloux

We had a wonderful stay at this ski hotel. The setting is magnificent, the rooms are comfortable, and the restaurant is excellent, with a generous and varied breakfast. The staff is truly attentive, responsive, and very helpful. Thank you to Fanny and Cécile at reception for their professionalism and kindness. A huge thank you also to Cécile and Léa, the adorable dog-sitters for our little dog, for their gentleness and kindness. 🐾 Thank you as well to Romaric and Lucas, the mixologists, with whom we discovered cocktails, and to Laura in the dining room, Pauline and Romane, who were lovely, and to the other members of the team whose names I unfortunately don't know, but who all contributed to making our stay so enjoyable. A very lovely family-run hotel with a warm, relaxed, and intimate sporty-chic atmosphere! The restaurant has a magnificent view. The meals are generous, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of high-quality products. Our room was lovely with a magnificent direct view of Mont Blanc (I had initially booked for one person, but I called the day before to bring my husband and baby. We were upgraded, and all the necessary baby equipment was provided, including a little keepsake cuddly toy... a huge thank you, it's a wonderful memory). The staff were very attentive and friendly. The decor is refined and has a mountain ambiance throughout. Free parking is available. The rates are much more reasonable than for the same type of hotel in Megève, even though it's only a few minutes away! We will gladly return with our family.

The view from the room was truly impressive. However, the room itself felt like a showroom – with a recognizable design concept, but lacking any warmth or naturalness. It felt more like staying in an IKEA showroom than feeling truly at home. The staff were generally friendly, although the warmth at reception seemed somewhat forced, slightly marring the initial impression. The food in the restaurant, on the other hand, was absolutely superb, both in the evening and in the morning.

The room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and overall created a pleasant atmosphere. We were very satisfied with the design and comfort level. However, the room service did not meet expectations. Housekeeping appeared to only tidy the beds, and the towels were not replaced. Although guests are instructed to leave towels in the bath if they wish them to be changed, our wet towels were simply hung back up by the staff and placed on the heater instead of being replaced. This was disappointing and did not reflect the standard of service we were expecting.

The hotel is superb, quiet, and exceptionally welcoming. The staff is friendly, attentive, and very pleasant. The breakfast is plentiful and varied, with high-quality products. The rooms are lovely and spotless. The Mont Blanc view (available from some rooms and in the restaurant) is breathtaking!

The place exceeded our expectations. It has a clear view of the mountains, the staff is very friendly, and the food is really good. It’s conveniently located next to the slopes and ski rental. Perfect for a vacation when you want to ski and relax away from city noise.

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel again this weekend. The decor is exquisite, the materials are exquisite, and it blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment. What can I say about the view of Mont Blanc when I woke up? Nothing, because no words can truly capture the feeling of being surrounded by such magnificent scenery. I'm a big fan of the spa! What a delight it was after skiing to enjoy the sauna and hammam and soothe those aches and pains. A huge thank you to the entire team, who are so attentive and do everything they can to ensure guest satisfaction. I can't wait to come back!

The staff are absolutely lovely! The rooms are beautiful and clean. The only downside: the evening meals are not up to 4-star standards... and repetitive... a shame...
