Le Bistro de Lagarde is one of those rare places that’s worth the drive all by itself. Nestled in the peaceful hills above Sault at around 1,000 metres, surrounded by beautiful lavender fields, it feels like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. We enjoyed lunch on the lovely shaded terrace. Even though it was 28°C, the combination of shade and a gentle mountain breeze made it incredibly comfortable. From the moment we arrived, Penelope, the owner, made us feel genuinely welcome. The service throughout was attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced, allowing us to relax and savour the experience. The food was exceptional. Every dish was creative, colourful, and beautifully presented, showcasing fresh, seasonal ingredients with plenty of imagination. The wine selection complemented the menu perfectly. If you’re looking for outstanding food in a spectacular, tranquil setting, Le Bistro de Lagarde is absolutely worth seeking out. We celebrated my birthday there, and it couldn’t have been a more memorable experience. Highly recommended!

If you're looking for a refreshing escape during the summer months, refined dishes with expertly balanced flavors, and a warm welcome, then look no further than Le Bistrot de Lagarde – it will exceed your expectations! Penelope greeted and served us with a smile and genuine kindness. Lorenzo delighted our palates with flavorful dishes presented with exquisite care. And in the midst of the heatwave, the Bistrot's altitude allowed us to enjoy a meal on the terrace with a refreshing breeze. We had a wonderful time and we'll definitely be back!

Few words are needed to describe the experience I had in this magical place. Here you don't just eat, you are catapulted into an explosion of taste, pleasure, and relaxation in a heavenly location. A unique place, a magical place... what can I say? When you're passionate about what you believe in, everything else comes naturally.

My wife and I were having our first wine tasting on a March shower day… in May! The approach was a little tricky, the location unexpected (a former site on the Albion plateau), and with the low clouds, we even thought the place was closed. Everything changed after we stepped inside. Rustic chic dining room, wood-burning stove with a visible hearth at the back. We felt right at home! We received a very warm welcome from Penelope, who showed us to our table and pampered us throughout the meal, just like all the other guests. There was a set menu for €50 due to the holiday. Two starters, two main courses, and three desserts to choose from. Everything was perfect, and the recommended wine was excellent! The atmosphere was so great that almost everyone knew each other by the end of the meal! (The secluded location must have played a big part in this friendly atmosphere!)
