Le Bistroy sur Port-Louis

A lovely restaurant, well located with a beautiful sea view. The service and welcome were friendly and pleasant, no complaints there. However, the food was a mixed bag. Some dishes were good and of high quality, but the portions were rather small, and there were several missteps, from the wine to, especially, one of the two desserts (the strawberry one was tiny, and a very basic whipped cream replaced the expected vanilla-basil cream). In my opinion, the value for money of the set menu wasn't quite justified, but it was still acceptable, with some good points, particularly the Asian-inspired dishes (chicken salad or "crying tiger").

A wonderful discovery! Fresh, high-quality ingredients, simple yet delicious cuisine. The prices are very reasonable, and the stunning sea view truly enhances the dining experience. A delightful time in a pleasant setting. We will gladly return!

What can I say! A fantastic evening. A simple menu that changes frequently, fresh ingredients, and a very nice wine list. The decor is lovely with a breathtaking view of the bay.

I ate at B... The location is lovely, with a beautiful sea view, which is undoubtedly the restaurant's main asset. The service was adequate and the setting pleasant. However, I wasn't as impressed with the interior decor. The wooden tables paired with transparent red and white plastic chairs create a rather peculiar style that, personally, I didn't find very welcoming. Of course, it's a matter of taste. During my visit, one lunchtime, the dining room was empty, which made the atmosphere quite strange. (Thursday) lunchtime The menu is rather appealing and tempting. Unfortunately, I was more disappointed by the food. The dish was decent, but nothing special. The risotto, in particular, was served with a significant amount of liquid, whereas nothing on the menu suggested it was a risotto with a broth or a very thin sauce. This presentation struck me as unusual and detracted from the creamy texture one usually expects from a good risotto. The fish was cooked properly, but overall it was rather average. In the end, this is a restaurant with a great location and a good reputation, but the food didn't completely win me over. A decent experience, but nothing memorable. Perhaps I'll try it again sometime in the evening… I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

Excellent restaurant; the fresh fish dish is delicious with its accompanying buckwheat risotto. Impeccable service and setting. And the desserts are worth the trip for their delicate flavors and perfect balance! Finally, a fine wine list, knowledgeable to the staff.

We highly recommend this restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Delicious dishes with a magnificent view of the port. Unbeatable value for money 😍
