Le Café de La Place sur Le Sappey-En-Chartreuse

Great setting! Great food! We ate there with a friend after a great mountain bike ride on the superb Sappey trails 👌 it's plentiful and everything is homemade, it's just what you need to recharge the batteries after the effort!

We just had a cold drink after returning from a hike, we were attracted by the beautiful shaded and welcoming terrace. Very friendly service.

Notice updated in 2024: It will be almost 10 years since I came to Sappey more or less regularly on vacation. Each time I spend the majority of my meals away from home at Café de la Place. The service, the welcome, the business approach and the quality of the cuisine are all the reasons why I am not even looking to try another restaurant in the village. The portions are generous, the cuisine has flavor and the sauces on the dishes are really great! You can come with your eyes closed :) Old opinion posted 6 years ago: Great welcome, great team and dishes of very good quality and without pretension! It is sometimes difficult when you go to the mountains, not to fall into tourist traps, or not to be poorly received (having been to other restaurants in Chartreuse, some people should simply change jobs...) . At the local café, the whole team does their best to satisfy you, with a smile almost every day from 9 a.m. to midnight! For those who like homemade desserts, make a raclette anytime, or simply have a drink to beat the heat, the local café and its entire team is a very good choice :)

Very good restaurant which will make you forget all the efforts made in the climb of Saint Eynard. The menu is very complete, the dishes are copious as are the desserts, open from 9 a.m. for breakfast, the service is impeccable with a sweet voice supplement. In short, thank you for all my heart towards you
