Fantastic atmosphere. Cozy, busy. Service is outstanding. Fast, professional, friendly, warm. We thought the food was okay. That might have been due to our choice. We went for the set menu. And I think that varies. A starter and main course for 21 euros is a very good deal, but the 17.50 burger from the neighbors looked a lot better. Kids menu good value for money. And what a relief that the sauces are simply placed on the table in bottles here! Great.

Despite a last-minute reservation, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated on the terrace in an inner courtyard. The staff was friendly and very efficient (we didn't know it was market day that Sunday). And finally, we had a very good meal: delicious, generous portions, and very affordable. In short, a great find, I highly recommend it. I suggest you book in advance! Please note, the restaurant does not accept holiday vouchers.

Last week (August 11th), we (a couple) had a lovely meal here. A main course and dessert for a good price. I had a pavé de boeuf and my partner had a Caesar salad. The meat was nicely grilled and cooked medium-rare; the salad was fine too. The waiter who served us was super friendly and took the time for everyone. We had given him the nickname ‘Pasveer’ because of his hair. An inside joke. The restaurant terrace outside was completely full and the atmosphere was relaxed. Yesterday evening, as our last night in Merville-Franceville, we went back to the brasserie. It was relatively quiet yesterday and less busy than before. Remco 😉 wasn't there today, but his colleague from last time was working. Also a very nice lady 👍🏻 This time I ordered the “most expensive” dish on the menu, an XXL entrecote (400g), and my partner ordered a bavette échalotes. Unfortunately, it was really disappointing this time; the meat wasn't tender and you really had to work hard to chew it down. The fries were quite a mountain, but not great. I had ordered my sirloin medium rare, but it was actually more raw. I don't think it was Wagyu, but it was very 'marbled' and required quite a bit of cutting. The bavette (medium) was full of tendons and impossible to chew. We sent the meat back and (fair is fair) received a new plate without any complaints. This version was slightly better, but still not really top-notch. My sirloin even had a part that was simply still cold. I know that the Dutch are sometimes a bit more critical than the French when it comes to Google reviews, but in my opinion, the brasserie doesn't deserve 5 stars. Despite the friendly welcome. I expect just a little more from a brasserie for a main course costing 30.

Excellent place, the food is delicious and homemade. The waiter was very efficient and friendly. A great place to return to.

We stop at this restaurant every time we come to Franceville; we're never disappointed. The menu is varied and delicious, and the price is great! The service is pleasant, and the terrace is lovely too.
