Nouveau weekend au Castellas avec toujours autant de bonheur d’y séjourner ! Une équipe au Top, sympathique et accueillante, avec un chef qui nous a concocté d’excellents plats toujours aussi raffinés et variés ! Magical and peaceful place, very beautiful stone building, magnificent view (we were there in the evening with a superb sunset), dinner outside. Excellent food and very good service.

Visiting is a complete experience. The place, the vieuws, the food and drinks, The Anatolian shepperds,… magnificent!

Went for a lunch at the restaurant. I would rate the food 3. The place is really in the middle of nowhere, in a good way. A very quiet drive up and you are in a relaxing haven. The property is really beautiful and we got sat below massive oak trees for the lunch service. It is a set menu - which you have absolutely no choice on. Everything comes out rather quickly and without any particular order, which in our opinion was a bit messy and out of point. The food as a whole was nice, though nothing was really mind blowing. They served some stale bread, a goat cheese starter, followed by a cheese and charcuterie board, a plain leaf salad, a green bean salad, pea soup with a poached egg and some a galette like onion tart, which was actually the highlight. Although we mentioned our dietary requirements in advance, they didn’t really respect them. Once we complained, they made us another dish, which was the only protein we got over the meal, and it wasn’t good. We barely touched it and no one bothered asking why. Seating for 2 hours on a stone, getting bitten by bugs and having spiders climbing all over you, is a bit much, even considering the lovely scenery. It’s quite pricy for what you get, so all in all a nice experience, but would not go back again.

Like every summer for years, I have come back to eat at Castellas with friends or family. What tranquility, what quality of service, what an enchanting place. Thank you for offering this moment, plus a delicious and affordable table. I will come back again and again

We chose this restaurant for our last holiday dinner.. and everything was perfect! We enter an area where the animals are free, where WE enter their home: that’s the charm of the place. The place is magnificent, outside and inside, the dogs are adorable and keep us company. We really like these places where nature has so much importance, it is getting lost.. We loved the starters to share, several choices with this excellent bread! The crumble was also great with its little ice cream.. In short, quality dishes, with local flavors. Thank you for preserving this know-how and these beautiful values! See you soon in Chamonix perhaps 😉
