Le Central sur Monestier-De-Clermont

We stumbled upon this restaurant while stopping along our route. We had a very good meal. The dishes are homemade, so there's hardly any choice on the menu, but in the end, that's not a bad thing given the high quality. The cook serves us and is very friendly. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but the interior decor is simple and pleasant, and again, the most important thing (the food) is excellent. Reasonable prices: we paid 71 euros for 3 people – starters, main courses, desserts, 2 drinks, and coffee. It's a great place to eat if you're in the area. All the best.

After our car broke down nearby, we discovered Le Central, a small family restaurant where the owner welcomed us and our daughter at 1:45 pm for lunch. We chatted about food and other things. A meal just like home—simple, efficient, and delicious! Well done!

I'm giving it 4 stars because the lady is very nice, however, she should have someone with her in the dining room. The old man doesn't do anything, and okay, it's homemade, so it's still decent. Looking at the prices on the chalkboard outside, we paid too much: 2 salads from the main room (€15 each), 2 gardianne (a beef stew) (€13 each), and 3 chocolate mousses (by the way, without the coulis, it would be better and quicker to make for you) (€5 each). That makes (€30 + €26 + €15) €71, and a Leffe beer that she didn't know the price of, we paid €85. Good for her, but too bad for us. Having come to Monestier several times, it's a shame we won't be going back. There should be a chalkboard menu in the dining room and a drinks menu with prices... I'm replying to the owner's response. At no point did I say it was expensive; I simply pointed out that the total of our bill didn't match the amount paid by card. I paid €85, while the total came to €71 for the food and a Leffe beer (the price of which was ignored). €14 is an expensive beer... The menu was never displayed in the dining room; it was only shown on the terrace. The prices were correct, as was the drinks menu and price list—in any case, we didn't get it!

The food is as friendly and welcoming as the owner and the decor. Now all that remains is to discover the secret of that excellent homemade vinaigrette... the competition is on!

A quick, late stop for lunch during our motorcycle trip, and the manager is a sweetheart! We received a very warm welcome! The food is delicious and homemade, the desserts are a treat, and the setting is authentic and relaxing :) I highly recommend this place; everything was perfect!

We had lunch after making a reservation. The menu was worthy of a festive meal: elegant, generous, and very easy to digest. From appetizer to dessert, it was a delight! The homemade foie gras was divine! We ordered some for the holidays. The chef was both in the kitchen and serving! Very pleasant, cheerful, and down-to-earth! We had a wonderful time with friends; I highly recommend it!

A family lunch in the middle of a long journey turned into an unforgettable experience... The welcome, the food, the quality... and value for money like nowhere else! Thank you for this wonderful time.

Restaurant taken over by a very very nice lady, it's a change from a few months ago, I highly recommend it, very good atmosphere, clean restaurant, new decor, very very good coffee, the price is very reasonable, very good location and possibility of parking very close. I recommend 100%
