We celebrated my partner's 80th birthday with children and grandchildren. Everyone loved it, the setting was superb, we were very happy and plan to return.

The setting, the staff, the food, everything is excellent! We will be back.

The setting is splendid and the terrace very pleasant. However, the food doesn't live up to its surroundings; the dishes are very simple, some side dishes don't match the menu descriptions (without any mention of last-minute changes that we could have understood), but above all, some of the dishes are sorely lacking in quality. The staff never once inquired about our satisfaction, and many details were overlooked. In short, we were very disappointed.

Very pleasant atmosphere, attentive staff, calm music. You can sit on the terrace or in the hall. Service at the highest level! The dishes are very tasty. My husband and I had dinner at this establishment for the first time and will definitely come back again.

This isn't my first time here 👣. I've been with family, in small groups, and even as a couple. It's never the same experience, but the joy and good humor are always present and guaranteed. The food is high quality, made with fresh, local ingredients. Three set menus are offered à la carte at different prices to suit your budget and appetite, sure to delight your taste buds. For my part, we opted for the €45 menu, which included a starter, main course, dessert, a glass of wine from the wine list, a liter of sparkling water, and a coffee ☕️, for a total bill of approximately €120.00. Note that you get a €1 discount per person for visiting the abbey upon presentation of the restaurant's coupon. Please note that reservations are highly recommended if you are more than 4 people or if you plan to visit the abbey and wish to dine there. I've attached photos 📷 of the dishes from our menus.

While passing through the region, we stumbled upon this charming restaurant. We were captivated by this place, housed in a magnificent former abbey and nestled along the banks of the Gartempe River. The cuisine is refined and delicious. The rib of beef served on a large, raw wooden board was incredible! We had a truly delightful time with excellent service and left with very full stomachs. We will likely return if we are ever in the area again.
