Le Chapeau Rouge sur Neufchatel-En-Bray

Over the years have been here quite a few times. Either with friends or on our own. Have found the food to be good , staff helpful and polite. See you next year.

It's a good restaurant, the menus are tasty and reasonably priced, the fries are served on a plate and not in those tiny little baskets where a few skeletal fries are fighting each other, and to top it all off, there's a beautiful church to visit just across the street

We stopped by chance. The welcome was more than warm. The chicken in cider sauce was very good.

We had the menu du jour and it was fine. The spaghetti bolognese was a bit watery. Dessert was excellent.

I was in a hurry and the team was able to adapt to meet my request for "quick" service. I recommend them.

The meal was very good. However, there was a small worm in the salad; we expected a small apology, but no one offered. We reported it to the manager, who dismissively stated that it was real salad. Okay, but it was poorly washed. No apology was offered. Otherwise, the meal was very good.

Ideally located in the heart of Neufchâtel-en-Bray, the restaurant "Le Chapeau Rouge" is truly worth a visit. We had booked our tables in advance, which was fortunate, as the restaurant was packed when we arrived. A sure sign of its excellent reputation. And this restaurant certainly deserves that reputation, as we enjoyed a simple yet delicious lunch. We both opted for the €19.50 set menu, which proved to be quite generous. The welcome was perfect, as was the prompt service, all provided by friendly, kind, and professional staff. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

We took a quick lunch break during our bike trip to try some Neufchâtel cheese in a salad. The service was quick and efficient!
