31/05/2026: This was the first shop we encountered after leaving the Palace of the Popes.
I was actually a little panicked because my husband had just fallen and injured himself at the Palace of the Popes. Upon entering the shop, I first asked the staff if we could have some ice to cool him down. To my surprise, the entire staff sprang into action the next second.
A very kind lady immediately came over to check on him, helping him to a sofa to sit down and rest, and even cleaning his wound. Other staff members also came to help, some bringing ice, some bringing first-aid supplies, and others checking on his condition.
We only wanted to borrow some ice, but received so much warm assistance.
Encountering such kindness while traveling in a foreign land is truly touching and gradually calmed my panicked emotions.
After everything was mostly settled, we were finally able to sit down and rest, so we ordered drinks and a salad.
I must say, the salad was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh, the combination was beautiful, and it was the kind of simple yet incredibly delicious dish that you couldn't stop eating.
Because we were seated closer to the interior, we could see the staff preparing the food and cleaning the restaurant. The whole place felt very clean and organized, making us feel very comfortable.
After returning from this trip, when I think back to Avignon, what I remember isn't just the grandeur of the Palais des Papes, but also the warmth this restaurant brought us.
If you come to Avignon, I would highly recommend this place.
Not just because the food is delicious and the environment is beautiful, but also because there are a group of sincere and kind people here.
Sometimes the most unforgettable part of a trip isn't necessarily the tourist attractions you visited, but rather the unexpected moments of kindness and generosity from strangers. 🤍🇫🇷✨
This was the first café we came across after leaving the Palace of the Popes.
To be honest, we were still a little shaken at the time because my husband had just fallen and injured himself while visiting the Palace of the Popes. When we walked in, I simply asked if they could give us some ice for his injury.
What happened next completely surprised us.
A very kind lady immediately came over, helped my husband to a sofa, and gently cleaned his wounds. Other staff members quickly joined in as well — bringing ice, first-aid supplies, and checking to make sure he was okay.
All I had asked for was some ice, but they gave us so much more than that.
When you're traveling in a foreign country, receiving such genuine kindness from complete strangers is incredibly touching. Their care helped turn a stressful moment into one we'll never forget.
Once everything had settled down, we finally had a chance to sit back and relax, so we ordered some drinks and a salad.
And the food did not disappoint.
The salad was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Sometimes the simplest dishes are the most memorable, and this was definitely one of them.
Our table was close to the preparation area, which gave us a glimpse of how the team worked behind the scenes. Everything was clean, organized, and well cared for, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Looking back on our time in Avignon, I don't just remember the grandeur of the Palace of the Popes. I also remember the warmth we received from the people in this café.
If you're visiting Avignon, I would absolutely recommend stopping by.
Not only is the food excellent and the space beautiful, but the people here are truly wonderful.
Sometimes the most memorable part of a trip isn't a famous landmark — it's the unexpected kindness you receive along the way. 🤍🇫🇷✨
30/05/2026: I really have to recommend this place! The salads are delicious 😋, but the most important thing is how kind the staff are. It's located not far from the exit of the Palais des Papes in Avignon, and I happened to have fallen and bumped myself inside the Palais des Papes, resulting in a large swelling and bleeding. I thought of going to this place to get a drink and rest, and more importantly, to ask for some ice 🧊. The staff member, who turned out to be the owner, looked quite alarmed and asked me to sit down, then helped me apply medicine and ice. In this unfamiliar place, I received such thoughtful care from her. Being in France 🇫🇷, I was truly touched 🥲. I wish her a lifetime of peace and happiness 🎉. Oh, and the food and service were both top-notch 👍
