We celebrated our wedding on July 23, 2022. What can we say except that everything was perfect from beginning to end? We experienced a timeless culinary journey at Clos des Lys in Perpignan, indulging in the Carte Blanche menu. It was a succession of exquisitely precise flavors, showcasing exceptional ingredients.
A masterful blend of seafood and seafood
From the very first course, the tone was set. The scallops, with their perfect pearly sheen, delicately opened the proceedings, followed by langoustines of absolute freshness. The foie gras, meanwhile, impressed with its smooth texture and profound flavor—a classic dish executed flawlessly from start to finish.
The seafood continued to dazzle us with:
Sea bass: cooked to perfection, respecting the fish's inherent nobility.
Monkfish: plump and flavorful, a pure moment of bliss.
The transition to the main course was equally memorable: veal of exemplary tenderness, enhanced by a smooth and creamy aligot, bringing that touch of indulgence and local character that warms the heart.
The sweet apotheosis
The finale was a veritable firework display. The strawberry was presented brilliantly, accompanied by an ethereal meringue, a true caress for the palate. Finally, the renowned dessert table at Clos des Lys remains a spectacle in itself: a paradise of sweets where generosity is matched only by finesse.
Attentive service and exemplary responsiveness
The wine pairings were near perfect throughout the meal. We particularly appreciated the team's responsiveness: when a Banyuls nearing the end of the bottle showed a touch of marc, the sommelier immediately offered us a magnificent white Banyuls. This last element proved to be a revelation, blending perfectly with the freshness of the strawberries.
In conclusion: A restaurant that honors Catalan gastronomy with passion and professionalism. Thank you to the entire team for this exceptional experience!
