Le Clos Saint André sur Saint-Andre-De-L'Eure

I'm rereading my review from 9 years ago, which shows I'm a regular, so naturally objective, otherwise I wouldn't be a regular. I stand by everything; I'm still a fan of the steak tartare, imaginatively prepared by Jean, the chef, and served by his delightful wife, Claire. But today I succumbed to a succulent, melt-in-your-mouth Angus beef and was blown away by the steamed julienned seasonal vegetables—pure perfection. Light, actually 😊 "Warm welcome, lovely setting, good traditional cuisine that's more than generous. Not everyone finishes the steak tartare, but it's worth the trip. Reasonable daily specials, also generous. It's tasty, but don't expect anything too 'light' :)"

Thank you to Clos Saint André ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for helping/organizing this surprise for my birthday this past Saturday, December 27th, with my family. It was perfect! Thank you for the warm welcome, the good cheer, and your attentiveness and expertise. I'm also thinking of the little ones at the table for taking the time to relax them and being there for them (drawings, crayons, little stories, etc.). Everything was fantastic 👍🏻 And that was partly thanks to you ❤️

Passing by while looking for a place to eat, we stopped in front of the Clos Saint André. We weren't disappointed by the warm welcome from the owners and the simple but delicious meal. The place was very clean, and we enjoyed a good Coeur de Lion beer. I had a delicious chicken escalope in a cream sauce with homemade fries cooked in beef fat. A nice bonus: beers and ciders to go.

We come to eat there once a week, always a very warm welcome and a delicious meal, I highly recommend it (Le Garage des Authieux).
