Le Corsaire sur Soissons

14/08/2026: We arrived here well over an hour before closing time and were warmly welcomed. We were given a table that was in the shade and would remain so; it was thoughtful of them to think of that. It was 38°C outside. We each ordered one of the two starters offered: a gazpacho and burrata. Both were very tasty and well-presented. The food arrived (very) quickly. The main course was pork with sesame seeds and soy sauce, served with vegetable tagliatelle. Also very tasty. It was also a good portion of vegetables (usually the neglected child in a meal). After a while, we were asked if we would prefer to sit inside because of the heat. However, due to my neurological issues, the music is very unpleasant for me. When I explained this, they offered to turn off the music, as the place was otherwise empty anyway. It was very nice that this was possible. For dessert, I wanted a latte macchiato, but they didn't have it. They did their very best to make a coffee that resembled it. In short: all in all, an excellent experience!
