Besides the warm welcome and efficient service, the food is always good, with excellent value for money and enough choice to satisfy everyone. It's truly a great place, the kind we wish we had more of in our small towns, and in the summer, when you're lucky enough to have lunch in the garden, it's an added bonus, but we'll have to wait a little longer...

Another place that deserves to be known, from the welcome to the dessert everything is perfect, the staff attentive, the dishes always exquisite, and even though we have become regular customers, we still enjoy it just as much.

We were welcomed with open arms at 2 pm when all the other restaurants were closing, and we had a wonderful time and a delicious meal. The atmosphere was friendly and warm; the dishes were succulent, fresh, and authentic; and the service was exceptionally kind!

November 2025! To wrap up our Normandy getaway, we decided to spend our last evening at Le Donjon! I'd heard so much about it, but never had the chance to eat there. We arrived, and the setting was truly unique! The very friendly staff seated us, and we settled in. There was a fireplace nearby, and I could admire the burning log—it was really lovely! Then came my favorite moment: aperitif time! Of course, I had a Pastis! My friend Laulau had a small Ricard! The restaurant offered us a small soup as an introduction. Even though I'm not particularly fond of soup, I have to admit it was good! For my starter, I chose the dozen snails from the €39 set menu (starter, main course, dessert). Yes, €39! A great value for money! Let's get back to the starter. The twelve snails arrived, and they were delicious! I ate them all and even took some bread to mop up the remaining sauce. What a glutton! For my main course, I had the 350g ribeye steak with its accompaniments, and once again, it was a delight! I always asked for it to be cooked well-done, and despite that, the meat was incredibly tender! A welcome change from the tough, tough cuts I'd experienced! (I'm not pointing fingers, of course). Plus, since I was undecided about my sauce, the manager let me have my favorite peppercorn sauce and the snail butter on top of the meat! It might not seem like much to some, but I really appreciated it! To accompany my meal, we opted for red wine so as not to end the evening too sober! It was good! For dessert, three scoops of vanilla ice cream to finish with a touch of sweetness! To be honest, the ice cream must have been good because my daughter, in addition to finishing hers, had the brilliant idea of ​​sneaking a bite of mine! She's quite the little glutton; I wonder where she gets it from? In any case, a superb discovery that will make your taste buds tingle! I will definitely be back on my next trip to Normandy! A place I recommend for a time with family or friends! An experience I'll be repeating, and I recommend it to all the wonderful people reading this! At your service! Kisses 😘
