I was surprised by the quality of the food offered at breakfast and dinner. The chef is excellent and cooks primarily with local and seasonal produce! One small drawback: the rooms are very poorly soundproofed.

May 2026. Hotel located on the outskirts of Rennes. They were painting when we stayed. It's a hotel that specializes in group bookings, like ours of 40 people. Dinner consisted of a salad with cheese and ham, tough pork loin (no one in our group could eat it) with spaghetti and vegetables, inedible green beans, and a cream tart. Breakfast was also very basic with little variety. The room was small, the bathroom spacious but old. They only provide one bath towel per person and no hand towels. The room fits a double bed with a comfortable mattress and pillows. It has something resembling a wardrobe, a table with a chair, and a window overlooking some hedges at the back of the building. As is common in France, the TV only broadcasts French channels.

I spent the night in a hotel. The hotel wasn't bad. However, what happened in the morning deeply upset me. I wanted to get a coffee. I went to the reception desk, where they sell coffee. It was very crowded. There must have been a seminar going on. The participants also wanted coffee and were buying it in large quantities... I waited in line for about 20 minutes. And when I finally got to the front, some newly arrived people joined the end of the line, but the receptionist served them, not me... This went on for another ten minutes or so. Finally, I lost my temper and left, upset.

18/07/2026: A restaurant we tried about ten years ago. The homemade fries are still just as good! The scallops were perfectly seared. The €36 set menu is very generous and offers a nice selection of dishes. My family tried the veggie salad, which was a real success. There were many vegetarian options, but none for vegans... Our various servers were very friendly, and despite three items being missing (one salad, one mozzarella, and one crème brûlée), they tried to find a solution. The crème brûlée wasn't lukewarm, though (a shame), and the foie gras was a bit bland (it all depends on your taste): brioche toast with just a slice of foie gras on top would have been perfect. The prices are a bit high, but in my opinion, justified. The service was a little slow, however, and our neighbors, who were on their phones too often, were a bit annoying... Nevertheless, a very pleasant family meal.
07/07/2026: Just about adequate for a business lunch. The service was inconsistent, the waiter wasn't very friendly, and the food wasn't cooked properly.
