27/06/2024: Fabulous food and lovely service, we had a very enjoyable meal and drinks. However it was a warm evening and there was little ventilation so a bit uncomfortable in the conservatory where we sat. The main room of the restaurant was so brightly lit, it lacked a little ambience which was a shame, as the food is excellent 👌

09/07/2024: Bel endroit avec une cuisine remarquable avec de magnifiques sauces et un ris exceptionnel. On sent la volonté des hotes d'être au petit soin avec leur convives. Malheursement il reste un peu de travail à faire ce se coté la au nveau du service. Il manquait parfois des explications du contenu de l'assiette. De plus le débarrassage était fait sans que l'on nous adresse la parale. Surtout que je pense que la plupart du temps le retour des hotes serait élogieu. Enfin mon seul vrai regret le café d'une qualité indigne des mignardises de fin de repas.

07/07/2024: Stayed one night here right after staying at La Grée Des Landes with Yves Rocher in La Gacilly the night before. I consider Maison Ronan Kervarrec closer to a spa hotel than La Grée Des Landes. First, there are very few rooms and they are all hidden behind a door that looks like part of the wall. Very private and pleasant. I thought I came for my facial appointment. :-) Then, the room itself! If you are thinking whether to get the tub or not, you should get it! With a small extra fee, it is the highlight of the room. Submerging yourself in the tub while enjoying the greens of the enclosed garden is the best entertainment in this place. However, note that the garden inside the room has too many mosquitoes so we only enjoyed it from the inside. We also didn't have a chance to enjoy the pool as the weather was still quite chilly. Then of course, dinner and breakfast were both top notch, served by very competent staff in sophisticated dining rooms. Chef Kervarrec, whom we were able to meet in his kitchen, definitely deserves his 2 stars. One can tell there is a lot of effort that was put into each dish. The sauces are complex, refined and burst with flavors. We had a wonderful stay with wonderful food and would like to come back if we pass by another time! Kudos and thank you all!

15/06/2024: Very good restaurant, excellent dishes. Very good service with a smile. We had a good evening. The only one I could add is the cheese platter which is not generous. The decoration is not the most modern but everything is on the plate and in the service, which is important for me. To do again. I recommend you

05/07/2024: Eine Empfehlung aus einer deutschen Zeitschrift. Es war ausgezeichnet und hat der Empfehlung ganz und gar entsprochen. Wir waren begeistert.

29/06/2024: La salle qui accueille le petit-déjeuner est embellie pour accueillir les clients du restaurant le soir venu. Globalement nous avons apprécié le cadre même si dans cette gamme de prix on apprécierait des tables un peu plus espacées. La carte est variée et invite à la découverte. Les assiettes étaient soignées et nous avons apprécié l'équilibre entre saveurs classiques et plats revisité. Nous ne somme pas d'accord avec l'établissement que l'intitulé "Comme une courgette farcie, coques et écume curry" indique clairement que le plat contient des crustacés. Pour un produit qui n'est pas apprécié par un certain nombre de personnes, on apprécierait une mention claire. La cuisine a aimablement changé l'assiette pour une autre entrée. Le service était aimable même si notre serveur manquait un peu d'expérience pour ce type de restaurant. Les conseils étaient néanmoins bons, tant sur les plats que sur le vin. Nous reviendrions avec plaisir!

20/06/2024: There were two of us and we easily got a table for lunch during the week. The staff was very friendly and patiently explained the menu to us in English since we only spoke broken French. The oysters were excellent. The beef, which was ordered medium, was also perfectly fried. The dessert was a worthy conclusion to the menu, which cost €36. For €4 we got two carafes of water. That is also very fair. Overall, Le Bistro de Jean had the best food we had in a week in Brittany.
