Le Gavroche sur Vihiers

Surprisingly good food for what seems largely a pub. Ham steak and fries were better than most. Reasonably priced as well. Extremely slow service, even by French standards. Server had reasonable English, or understood our weak French. Except when it came to water, where we somehow got sparking instead of tap we requested - and the water ended up costing more than the rest of the meal :D.

The food is good and inexpensive. The atmosphere is friendly and the owner is very welcoming.
