Le Grand Shanghai sur Strasbourg

The Grand Shanghai is an all-you-can-eat restaurant offering a fairly standard selection for this type of establishment: pork noodles, fried rice, a wok station where dishes are cooked to order with your choice of sauces, and so on. There isn't a huge number of dishes, but you'll find what you expect from this kind of buffet. I tried a little bit of everything in small portions and found the food quite good, with some rather original seasonings that allow you to discover flavors different from those you're used to finding in France. The atmosphere is pleasant and the restaurant is spacious. There's also a bit of effort put into the decor, which adds a touch of exoticism: I particularly liked the Japanese lamps. I also appreciated that the restaurant seems to cater to families with young children, with suitable equipment like high chairs, which makes the experience more convenient for parents. The staff were friendly and welcoming, although they sometimes seemed a little overwhelmed by the crowds: we had to ask several times for a carafe of water and glasses. The main downside was the restrooms. We arrived right when they opened, and I noticed some greasy marks on the walls, a few stains, and a floor that didn't look freshly cleaned. The smell wasn't very pleasant either. It gave the impression of an oversight or an incomplete cleaning. Despite this, the overall experience was positive. I probably would have given it 3.5/5 if that had been possible, but I'm happy to give it 4/5. Thank you to the servers, cooks, and cashier for their smiles and kindness. I would gladly return on another occasion.

We were very pleasantly surprised and can't understand the negative reviews at all. A generous buffet and the option to have food cooked to order. The price is also very reasonable.

An all-you-can-eat buffet that's honestly quite good for a buffet! There's a huge selection of main dishes, but relatively few desserts like cake. On the other hand, there are about a dozen ice cream flavors! You can grill vegetables and meat in a wok, which is always a nice touch, but not essential to enjoying the food. I recommend coming, especially on weekday evenings, when I had the pleasure of discovering some extremely good grilled salmon. It was also relatively quiet, making it a very pleasant place for a relaxing evening. As for the main courses, there are classic appetizers like Caprese salad, seaweed salad, and corn/tuna salad, as well as some sushi and maki rolls, seafood, stir-fried noodles and rice, and fried foods. Two minor issues: the table layout can make it a bit cramped if it's crowded, and I sometimes have trouble hearing because the sound travels very quickly.

Amazing buffet!!! So many choices and everything was delicious!! The wok grill also had a great selection of meats, lots of sauces, and good vegetables!! The dessert buffet was fantastic too, with so many different kinds!

It's a pretty good all-you-can-eat buffet. The food is more than acceptable. The dishes are simple, but the Asian influence is well represented. There's also a nice wok station where you can choose ingredients to be cooked fresh by the chef. A nice touch. The value for money is good; in fact, it's quite busy.

The food is diverse, beautifully presented, and the flavors suit my taste quite well. The restaurant is located on a main road. The space is large and can accommodate tour groups, and at lunchtime it feels very busy

Excellent buffet. Delicious. Lunch until 2:30 pm is cheaper than dinner. Drinks are extra.
