Le Handi sur Auvers-Sur-Oise

Not a very good first impression. The man who showed us to our table and took our order was not welcoming. He told us that because we had booked through TheFork, we were required to order either a starter and a main course or a main course and a dessert. As this hadn't been made clear, I was prepared to leave. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he told me I was "angry" and then said he would "make a concession" for us. From that point on, his service was the absolute minimum, and he made the whole experience feel awkward and uncomfortable. What made it even more disappointing was that he only had two tables to look after while the restaurant next door was full, so there was no obvious reason for the poor attitude or lack of hospitality. The food itself was enjoyable, but unfortunately the poor service overshadowed the meal. We won't be returning.

Very good and impeccable service

Lunch. Palaak paneer was very good. However, the cardamom tea was served in a coffee cup... a ridiculously small amount. I think I paid a fortune for it... Frankly, this stinginess ruined the experience.

The meals were excellent; I finished them with bread because they were so good. The atmosphere and the waiter were great, and even when we asked for more bread, it was quick. The bread was made fresh, which was fantastic. Give it a try; you won't regret it.
