Le Jardin de l'Echauguette sur Sartene

We stumbled upon this place quite by chance, having discovered it in the Rough Guide during our visit to Sartène, and what a delightful surprise it was! We received a very warm welcome from André and Mimi, the owners, who are incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The setting is superb, with a lovely shaded terrace next to the watchtower, perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal. As for the food, everything is homemade, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! André and Mimi even recommended a place to buy delicious local jams, which we promptly visited after leaving the restaurant. A truly wonderful discovery, both for the food and the warm welcome and the beautiful setting. If you're ever in Sartène, I highly recommend stopping by! Thank you again to André and Mimi for this wonderful experience.

A very authentic and charming restaurant.

We went to this restaurant for the first time and received a very warm welcome. The service, the delicious food, the setting (shaded terrace); everything was perfect. We hadn't made a reservation, as we went in September. I highly recommend it.

Our favorite culinary discovery of our trip. I found this restaurant while searching online. If you don't know about it, it's hard to stumble upon it by chance. The entrance is well hidden in an alley (but clearly marked with signs). When you arrive, the terrace is simply stunning! Magnificent, shaded by olive trees, and with a fire pit. It overlooks Sartène. The staff is incredibly attentive, and the food is excellent. Corsican burger, zucchini fritters, fiadone... everything was delicious. The meat is prepared on-site over the fire pit. It was a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience, even with our 5-year-old twins, who also loved it and ate everything. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

I came for lunch one day with a companion. In the small village of Sartene, this restaurant offers a very pleasant setting. A small, slightly shaded outdoor terrace with a magnificent view of the surrounding hills. The dishes, some of which are cooked on the brazier, are absolutely delicious. Personally, I opted for the veal sausage and I absolutely don't regret my choice! With all these elements combined, this establishment deserves a much higher rating. Thank you to the restaurant staff for this wonderful experience. PS: I wholeheartedly recommend it!!

An exceptional experience enjoying generous, locally sourced cuisine. Thank you for the delicious food; my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the €32 set menu (zucchini fritters, veal stew, and fiadone).
