23/10/2026: This is an exceptional place to discover authentic Shanghai cuisine. The dishes are absolutely delicious, rich in flavor, genuine, and deeply imbued with the spirit of Chinese home cooking. Here, you'll find a regional culinary identity, with its traditions, subtleties, and character.
What particularly charmed me was this sincere and generous cuisine, reminiscent of meals prepared in Chinese homes. Each dish seems to tell a story of a living gastronomic tradition, passed down and carefully preserved.
I was all the more pleasantly surprised to discover such a place in Les Andelys, a charming little Norman town.
The restaurant, run by two Chinese chefs, is small, traditional, and welcoming. The atmosphere is simple, friendly, and unpretentious, perfectly reflecting the family-style approach to the cuisine.
If I could offer a suggestion, it would be to showcase the restaurant's Shanghai specialty much more effectively, particularly in its presentation and marketing. It is precisely this regional identity that makes it so unique and distinguishes it from more general Chinese restaurants. Chinese cuisine is incredibly diverse, and this richness deserves to be better known and appreciated.
An unexpected and remarkable discovery that proves you don't need to be in a big city to find authentic, high-quality food.
A true gem, without a doubt!
04/10/2026: Lunch with friends, a Chinese hot pot. We're regulars at Asian restaurants, but we've rarely had such a good (and generous) Chinese hot pot. And to top it all off, our host (Chinese from Shanghai) was lovely. We'll be back very soon and highly recommend this restaurant where everything is homemade.
