Fantastic experience, beyond expectations. Father and daughter (7 years old), neither of whom had any experience in horseback riding, went on a one-hour ride today. It is highly recommended, even for beginners; the horses follow a route on their own and listen well to the owner. That being said, it is anything but boring. We walked through the woods, on the rocks with spectacular views over the Ardèche, we climbed and descended, and as a grand finale, we even trotted a bit. The owner provides commentary and explanations in French (which I don't understand), but I imagine it's about the surroundings. The most important point to note regarding trotting is that you hold on tighter to the saddle. It is quite possible that I would have wanted to do this twice during the holiday.

My partner and I came this morning for a 2-hour ride. We were delighted with the ride; the owner is very attentive, friendly, and reassured me about my concerns regarding the trot. She also told us some interesting things about the area during the ride. I highly recommend this place! 👍🏼

Fantastic! 👍 My partner and I went today and loved the two-hour ride! A bit of trotting was also included, which was really great. We were well guided from beginning to end and were very attentive if we had any concerns about trotting or the correct techniques for handling the horse. I highly recommend it. Thank you again, and thank you for all your explanations during the ride; you helped us discover a beautiful corner of the Ardèche region! 😀

Fantastic ride! We had a wonderful time; the scenery is magnificent, and the guided tour provided fascinating commentary on the local flora and fauna. We received a very warm welcome, the horses were in excellent condition, the owner was very attentive to their well-being, and the price was reasonable. We'll be back!

06/09/2026: A very nice inn, beautifully decorated, the food is very good, you'll receive a warm welcome, it's best to book in advance, the parking lot is 20 meters from the inn and it's free, my road isn't very busy in September so it's not too noisy
04/09/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A superb discovery in Bidon! We had a wonderful time at Auberge La Farigoule. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and genuine good cheer that immediately set the tone. As for the food, it was impeccable: local produce, homemade dishes, generous portions, and above all, lots of flavor. You can tell there's a real desire to share the products and flavors of the region, with authentic and unpretentious cuisine. The setting is also very pleasant, with the atmosphere of a small Ardèche inn where you truly enjoy lingering. A special mention goes to the warm welcome and kindness of the owners: attentive, smiling, and passionate, they contribute enormously to the charm of the place. An address like this is the kind we wish we could find more often: good food, local produce, a friendly atmosphere, and excellent value for money. If you're traveling through the Ardèche Gorges, take a detour to Bidon and stop at La Farigoule. You won't regret it! We, for one, will be back with great pleasure. 😊
