We had a very pleasant evening at Moulin de la Baine. The location is, of course, superb; we had a table overlooking the Charente River. The service was attentive and efficient. And the dishes were very refined, especially the octopus and the lamb shank, which was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend it.

I wanted to thank you for giving us a table on the small outdoor terrace. Everything was perfect. We had a very pleasant time in the shade of the fig tree. The food was delicious. Thank you also to all the waiters and waitresses. A lovely experience to repeat in a beautiful setting.

Fantastic restaurant overlooking the river. The food is delicious and the service is incredibly friendly! A lovely spot, even in the heat of summer, as it's nicely shaded. Vegetarian options are available in addition to a good selection of meats (steak tartare, bone marrow, rib-eye steak, duck breast, etc.) and fish (octopus, among others). This is our second visit. Special mention goes to the regional cocktails and the charming decor!

We had a lovely time. The set menu (starter, main course, dessert) was excellent. The setting is magnificent, right on the banks of the Charente River. The service was top-notch and always with a smile. Well done to the whole team! We'll be back next year. The Nice team.

01/09/2026: Finally, a restaurant just the way I like them! No fries, and fresh, seasonal produce. A warm welcome and quick service. For two people, starter, main course, dessert, sparkling water, and coffees = €52. That's a little more than two McDonald's meals. Just ask the waitress for a little extra, and it arrives. A lovely surprise on our holiday road trip. We'll be back!
02/08/2026: A surprise stop at this inn, and not just a stopover! The welcome was excellent and the cuisine was perfectly executed from start to finish. Kudos to the manager and staff; we had a wonderful time.

The menu includes a buffet, appetizers and desserts, and a selection of cooked dishes. It's a very nice, roadside diner-style option where you eat simply, but well and in generous portions. Don't hesitate to stop by and get to know the managers and the menu, a type of place that's becoming increasingly rare.
