An authentic and cozy setting on the banks of the Eure in this Chartres institution not to be missed. A refined welcome, we had the pleasure of dining under the veranda to admire the spectacle of the moving river. A menu of discoveries, each tastier than the last, the pride of place is given to local products by favoring supplies close to the Mill. Discreet and warm welcome, excellent cuisine in sufficient quantity, perfect service and above all peaceful atmosphere, which is very appreciable. Although we arrived late on Easter Sunday, we were able to have a leisurely lunch without being rushed. THANKS !

Delightful and inventive menu with a number of surprises. We visited at the beginning of November, so the sunroom tables weren't available (and we were there for dinner, so it was already very, very dark outside anyway), but I think it would have been fun to have lunch there and see the river flow by. Very attentive and friendly serving staff, perfect portions and great wines. Amazing first night in Chartres, highly recommend for higher level dining if you're not in the mood for bistro food or more touristy fare. Edit March 2024 -- We returned for lunch, and some of the waitstaff remembered us! Once again, we chose to have the chef's tasting menu with wine pairing, and once again, we were blown away by the inventiveness of the dishes and the absolute tsunami of flavors that washed over us the entire meal. Mind-blowing meal, yet again!

A great discovery. While passing through Chartres, an evening stop at this beautiful restaurant located in an old mill. Careful service (a little too much perhaps), very tasteful vegetarian offering, dessert mixing vegetables and white chocolate with a perfect dosage of sugar. Nice wine list. To discover.

We had an excellent time, a very cheerful welcome, professional service, interesting and inventive cuisine which would benefit from being simpler and frank in tastes and associations. The sophistication sometimes borders on confusion and it's a shame because the products are excellent, the cooking is perfect and the presentations are very successful... I also enjoyed drinking a very large rosé from a beautiful house offered with a very low profit margin , which is very rare, it must be admitted. So, in conclusion, very nice address in Chartres in a setting particularly conducive to relaxation :)

I really liked the service and the atmosphere, it's really classy but unfortunately I didn't have any luck with the dishes I chose, they weren't good 🥲 but they were well presented! I will come back and make other choices

Very good evening at the Moulin de Ponceau. In addition to the magnificent setting, the cuisine is delicious. The portions are generous, perfectly balanced. Very good value for money. I highly recommend this restaurant. Very professional service. We will come back !
