We loved this place! The terrace was right by the river. The service was very efficient and friendly. The set menu (starter, main course, dessert) for €25 was a good choice. The food was of good quality and delicious.

I absolutely loved this charming spot with its trees and the sound of running water! The sharing plates are delicious; you can taste the quality of the ingredients and the chef's passion, just like with the refreshing drinks. The staff is incredibly attentive and the atmosphere is wonderfully friendly. I highly recommend it! 🌿🍽️✨

Everything is perfect!! Beautiful setting. Peaceful. Top-notch welcome, service, and food. Two visits in 3 days and still just as delighted 🤗 The charcuterie board was excellent. The Saint-Nectaire bun was amazing!!! A wonderful young and dynamic team. We are more than happy with our visits. Thank you. Keep up the good work 😉

Beautiful and very pleasant setting. The dishes were delicious, homemade, however the final bill was steep: €12 for a pitcher of rosé (2 glasses), €6 for a glass of rosé. The lunch menu, advertised at €25, was charged at €29 – unacceptable! I should have checked; it ruined everything! What a shame...

Great little open-air café with lots of small tables set up on the riverbank. Fantastic in the evening, and what's more, they serve with a smile 😃

We had a wonderful time enjoying fresh and flavorful food. Ideal for families with children; they can run around in the surrounding nature. Quick and friendly service. An evening in an unexpected location, perfect on our holiday route. Thank you!

La Belle Meuniere

17/05/2026: We stayed one night at La Belle Meunière and had dinner there (as part of our Wonderbox voucher). The room was very pleasant and well laid out. However, all the rooms are located below the restaurant, so in the evening (from 6 pm until 11 pm/11:30 pm) and in the morning (from 7 am), we had the heavy noise of footsteps (and some tables/chairs being dragged) overhead (not very pleasant if you're sensitive to noise). The welcome from the manager was very good, and we ate very well, but we wouldn't return to stay overnight. We also benefited from priority passes to access the Royatonic, which was a nice touch.
14/05/2026: A perfect evening just steps from home. Excellent cuisine, a kind chef, a warm welcome… the place is sublime. Thank you to the owners of La Belle Meunière who clearly enjoy making their guests happy. We stayed until the early hours, enjoying a tastefully and stylishly decorated room and a generous and delicious breakfast. Thank you, it was a real gem and I highly recommend it!

Auberge de Charade

20/08/2026: Absolutely fantastic, thank you for the atmosphere and good cheer.
07/08/2026: A superb experience at this inn. A top-notch meal, a very friendly and witty waitress, and all in all, very pleasant. I 100% recommend this restaurant where the small menu proves the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients! We will definitely be back. Signed, the Vendée native who likes to tease the Auvergnats 🙂🙂
