On a weekend in Nîmes, we were looking for a restaurant on the square in the city center to enjoy the Nîmes atmosphere. We had the sea aperitif board (the prawns were excellent) and for the main course my companion found the bull gardiane good.
As I don't eat beef, I was extremely kindly advised by the waitress, who directed me towards the sea salad. This one was good, but nothing more.
In the end a slightly high rating for what it was, but a good experience all the same, emphasizing the kindness of the waitress, and our little dog was kindly accepted on the terrace!
Popular and busy restaurant. Best dish is the starter la planchette méditerranéanne. Steaks and seafood are their speciality. Food is fine, but nothing special. Pleasant staff. Reasonably priced.
Discovered during a ramble around nimes. All the tables are outside and covered, it rained so occasionally drips off the cover but nothing major. Very good menu, we went for the paella ( great and a decent portion per person) and the entrocote steak served on a warming plate with a lovely herby buttery sauce. Nice sangria served in a funky cooling bag. We also gave the trio of deserts, all good. Lovely little find and they seem to serve all day so “service non stop” which was good as we missed the lunchtime 12-2 and ate at 3pm. Decent service and reasonable prices.

Le personnel était accueillant et la carte plutôt variée. La paella était succulente ;)
