Le Phenix sur Trouville-Sur-Mer

Warm welcome. Very good, fresh food.

Very good restaurant, but the wait was extremely long and the staff were almost unpleasant, but the food was still good and what you expect from a restaurant.

I arrived late and there was no lunch menu left, but I was still able to eat very well for €20. The flavor was delicious and the people were friendly.

It was very good: the caramel chicken and the beef with onions were very tender, full of flavor, and had a great sauce. One small point deducted for one of the waitresses who wasn't very friendly. Excellent value for money, which has never increased despite the many years.

We ate well, however, we waited 45 minutes to order, the Coke was served in a can without a glass, and what shocked me most: a table of two left without paying, and the next people had to pay mid-meal with a completely discriminatory response! A ridiculous humiliation, since the gentleman and his wife obviously paid politely!

We've been twice in the space of a week. The food is fresh, tasty, decent portion size and hot. We went post 8:30pm one night and arrived at 7pm the other - both times we were seated immediately. I would suggest making reservation though. Price wise, in comparison to other restaurants in Trouville, it is middle of the range, but I would not say it is expensive at all. Forgot to snap some shots before we started eating but we had orange chicken, caramel pork, veggie fried rice, beef noodles, and broccoli. Would recommend. Service is a bit hit and miss but not rude. Additionally, cleanest bathrooms in Trouville - that always indicates a spotless kitchen to me.

We had a wonderful evening at this air-conditioned Asian restaurant; it was very pleasant given the sweltering heat outside (35 degrees Celsius on June 25, 2026!). We received a very warm welcome from the team at Le Phénix, who let us choose our table. The spring rolls were delicious, served with a lovely salad. The chicken curry was very good, although there was a bit too much sauce. To accompany our meal, we chose an excellent 2023 Brouilly! We will gladly return on our next trip to Deauville.

Very happy to be back at Le Phenix. Excellent food and friendly atmosphere. Very good Côtes du Rhône wine. Very reasonably priced set menus.
