Excellent lunch! A small menu offering refined, homemade dishes. The meat was cooked to perfection.
The waitress (or owner?) was very pleasant. No wait.
The only downside: the restaurant's exterior appearance... which contrasts sharply with the modern, simple, and well-maintained interior.
What a delightful surprise this roadside restaurant was! The setting is lovely, with charming decor and comfortable furniture, and the aroma of the wood-burning stove makes you want to settle in. The ingredients were fresh and expertly prepared; we thoroughly enjoyed the Maroilles cheese tart, the poached egg in red wine sauce, and then the beef and filet mignon served with seasonal vegetables and a delicious sauce. And what can I say about the desserts made by the chef (whose specialty is pastry!)? The madeleines are divine, made and baked to order, with an exquisite salted caramel sauce. One of the best desserts I've ever had (and I'm 42!). The portions were generous and the prices reasonable. We were in a hurry and asked them to speed up the dessert and cheese course, which they did very kindly. We were thrilled with our experience!
A restaurant that deserves to be known.
Refined cuisine, beautiful presentation, a dish that makes you want to eat it.
And the owner is very pleasant and smiling. We'll be back.
