Le Pirate sur Sausset-Les-Pins

The dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. I had an aperitif, followed by a warm camembert salad, then pan-fried prawns with mixed vegetables (both excellent), and finally two scoops of ice cream for dessert. The price was a reasonable 32 euros, and the atmosphere was pleasant, with few people and a nice setting.

We chose this restaurant by chance, not based on the reviews. It was a pleasant surprise. I had the grilled octopus. It was very tender, which isn't always the case. In other restaurants, octopus is often a bit tough, but here it was cooked really well. It was served with a small salad, rice, and vegetables. My companion ordered the mussels with cheese sauce. She loved them. I tried one myself and I have to say they were really good. There was only one closed mussel in the entire pot, which can always happen. The mussels also had a nice, deep orange color, a sign of good freshness. I just have a small comment about the temperature of the food. It could have been a little hotter, especially the vegetables, which also had a bit too much onion for my taste. For me, food should be served piping hot, and for that I'm deducting a few points. The staff was very kind and well-organized. Everyone had their own role. Some took care of the drinks and others took the food orders. It's a system that works well and makes the service very relaxed. The location, right in front of the harbor, is very beautiful and makes lunch or dinner even more enjoyable. The restrooms were also clean and in good condition, despite it being late. Only the ventilation could be better, but that's really a minor detail. For two people, we spent about €45 on the dishes. Considering the restaurant's location, the quality of the food, and all the work that went into it, the price seems absolutely fair to me. It's easy to just look at the final bill, but we often forget the costs and effort required to offer such a high level of service. For me, this experience deserves about three and a half stars, but I'm happy to round it up to four because overall we had a great time. I will definitely return, as always incognito, to try another dish. If the next experience is on the same level or even better, I'll happily update my review.

Very good, generous portions! Seafood tapas, octopus and fish were excellent.

We were passing through Sausset-les-Pins and came for dinner last night, the four of us. We had a wonderful meal! The staff was fantastic, smiling, kind, and attentive. We had the €31 set menu with fried scallops accompanied by a small salad with lots of fresh vegetables and a pesto with watermelon and melon. It was absolutely delicious! Afterwards, we had the fish of the day, which was either sea bream or sea bass. The sea bream was enormous, and we had plenty of small pan-fried dishes and fresh vegetables. For dessert, we had ice cream and chocolate mousse. The ice cream was artisanal, and the chocolate mousse was homemade. Honestly, I 100% recommend this restaurant. The evening we were there, there was a small thunderstorm. The owner managed to get everyone to safety, and a very unpleasant customer started calling her names. Frankly, she didn't deserve it because she's truly wonderful.
