Fantastic! Everything was absolutely fantastic! Vincent took excellent care of us from start to finish. The steak tartare was EXCELLENT, the burger was delicious too, the fries were great, and even the salad and dressing were perfect. And all that for the price of a lunch special: we'll definitely be back!

We enjoyed a lovely evening at Restaurant Le Pirate last weekend, on a dark and wet evening in Saint-Jean! Despite this, we felt very comfortable in the restaurant's enclosed 'outdoor' seating area, with heaters and warm blankets if needed. The service (one waiter working alone all evening) was warm, friendly and efficient and we felt we had one of the best traditional soup a l'oignon we have ever tasted, with just the right amount of sweetness and Gruyère cheese on top, it was really delicious! We had a very good bottle of wine which was well priced and also enjoyed our main courses, which were from the 'suggestions du jour' menu. We will look forward to returning to Le Pirate when we are back in Saint-Jean in the summer.

08/02/2026: Amazing beach but the restaurant was closed I think they only work in summer
