We had lunch here last Wednesday. We hadn't booked but were accommodated without problem in the bar area as the restaurant was full. The restaurant is clearly frequented by manual workers but there were retired folk there too.
The Menu du Jour offered a choice of 2 starters, 2 main courses, a cheese course and 2 desserts. We had the salmon quiche, steak and chips, cheese and a muffin with cold custard. Everything was very good and the portions generous. A half litre of red wine was included but, when we ordered a further quarter litre, another half was brought and we were told that this too was included!
The service was efficient and pleasant, there was a nice, lively atmosphere and we were made very welcome. On paying, we were astonished to learn that the total bill was only €30. Exceptional value, given the quality and portion size. No wonder the place was full! Highly recommended.
