A very beautiful place, very little frequented, where we take great pleasure in discovering or rediscovering very varied species of plants of all kinds. Mainly vegetables but not only! The 5th star will come for me when the reception of visitors is more friendly, attentive and smiling (probably this is the counterpart to the peaceful aspect of the place).

A botanical and historical heritage of Versailles. Quite incredible to imagine this place beyond the imposing walls. Definitely worth walking through the door.

This is really where the king's court under Louis XIV was fed, and it is still a garden that produces fruit that can be bought regularly. It is still a conservatory of rare varieties and perhaps above all a pleasant walk with the statues of Hardy and La Quintinie, famous contributors to the history of the place

Magnificent gardens, pretty corner of greenery and peace under a flock of parakeets and starlings. A gardener who takes us on a journey back to the time of King Louis with passion 😉👍 and who greedily presents his planted trees and aromatic herbs to us. Thank you for this escape.

26/05/2024: I quickly learned with my very limited French that you have to order not only drinks but food if you want to sit at this restaurant. This is after a long day of walking next door at the Versailles palace. So we ordered a hamburger and a chicken sandwich and cold drinks. The food was great and fairly fast. Our 2nd day was even more tiring since it was a hotter day and we left earlier in the mid afternoon, decided to visit our friends at La Brasserie du Musee, same lady that helped us previous day came out. Except this time we only ordered drinks (2 Coca cola cans to be exact) and she was so nice to even offer and take our pictures. I paid and left of course with a good tip as my way saying "au revoir"!
08/03/2024: Très bien placé par rapport au château de Versailles, petite brasserie qui fait le plein des visiteurs du château. Nous avons fait simple avec une omelette frites. L’ensemble était cohérent, les omelettes étaient généreuses, la salade fraîche. Service rapide. Venir tôt pour éviter la foule. Bémol pour le café allongé à 5€….
