27/02/2026: We had visited this restaurant a few years ago and had very fond memories of it. This Ramadan evening, however, the experience was rather disappointing: a very cold welcome, no smiles, and our dishes were brought to us while we were having our aperitifs. It gave the impression that we weren't welcome. Furthermore, the couscous was very mediocre: the sauce lacked flavor, and the lamb was tough and not tender.
24/02/2026: I've been going to Marrakech occasionally with my family for several years. The couscous and tagines are always delicious. Recently, however, I was very disappointed with the service I received when paying. There were three of us adults, and I went to the register with two Sodexo cards and one credit card. The waitress initially refused to let me pay with two Sodexo cards. I had to insist quite forcefully for her to accept all three payment methods because she only wanted to take one Sodexo card and charge the rest to the credit card, implying that we three would have to sort it out amongst ourselves. She claimed there were significant fees associated with Sodexo cards. So, I had to insist strongly, and this was in front of all the other customers. The Sodexo card is a payment method like any other; there may be fees, but I'm not responsible for them. Furthermore, no payment rules are specified when making the reservation or upon entering the restaurant. So, be aware that if you're going to Marrakech with colleagues, only one Sodexo card will be accepted! If they no longer wish to accept this payment method, they should do so honestly. In the end, Marrakech won't be seeing me again.
