LE REFUGE sur Gerardmer

Excellent restaurant, excellent cuisine, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, perfectly cooked, beef fillet and hanger steak, well done to the chefs, impeccable service, smiling and friendly staff.

We don't regret our choice. We had a fantastic meal, a warm welcome, and a beautiful setting. And above all, the wood-fired cooking! That's what attracted us.

This is a fantastic restaurant with fresh, local produce, a beautiful and very pleasant setting, and the staff is top-notch: welcoming, helpful, friendly, and always smiling. And the food is simply splendid, both in quantity and quality, from the appetizer platter to the desserts—it's absolutely superb! Go without hesitation!

For food lovers who appreciate good things

Mixed review. We went for dinner with two children and a dog. We were welcomed into a beautiful setting with very friendly staff. We had a table overlooking the kitchen area. However, a few minor issues arose: - My daughter ordered chicken nuggets and fries. While waiting for the plate to arrive, my partner and I noticed some minor hiccups from the servers and the kitchen staff (several dishes remained on the counter for several minutes before being served). A plate of nuggets and fries was on the counter even before we ordered. The server saw it and offered to give it to my daughter, 5 minutes after we ordered. I immediately noticed that the dish was cold, as it had been sitting on the counter for over 10 minutes. - I ordered a ham hock without fries, with salad. When I received my dish, it came with fries and was cold (frozen in the middle). I asked the server for the salad and for it to be cooked a second time. Unfortunately, the ham hock wasn't hot in the middle when it arrived (again with fries). I unfortunately didn't eat anything else, and aside from the servers' apologies, nothing else was offered. My partner loved the hanger steak, and my children adored the burger and the nuggets.

Very friendly, quality meats, very welcoming...

A very good experience dining on the terrace. Reservations are recommended. The baked egg with Munster cheese was a pleasant surprise. The ingredients are of excellent quality, and the servers are very friendly and attentive, which is becoming increasingly rare. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A beautiful view, generous portions except for the Vosges salad... Excellent service.
