Le Relais de la Malmaison sur Rueil-Malmaison

The GPS has already led me straight to the trash cans. I went to reception for the first time on foot where I had the impression of disturbing one of the managers of the establishment who calmed down a little later. When I took the right entrance, I realized that the parking lot was even further away. It was dark and cold. I came back to reception with my suitcase and then had to go out to put it in my room. This one is located in another building even further from where I was parked. I thought I had returned to Centerparcs without the animals. Fortunately, the reception staff were very helpful and explained everything to me. No one to help carry the luggage, which is surprising for a 4 star. Of course, there is an elevator but above all, I was lucky to have a room on the 1st floor, close to an emergency exit and a parking space. Otherwise, everything is very clean, the king-size bed is very comfortable, the restaurant setting is pleasant. I found the menu expensive for what is offered, the resident menu (main course, dessert and 1 glass of wine at €30 would soften the bill if the cooking of the meat requested was respected. Self-service breakfast is average for €20 and is only served until 10am on weekdays. If the spa is pleasant and very clean like the good-sized swimming pool, the hair dryer in the locker room does not dry much. So much so that I had to go out with a wet head in the cold, because again, we are quite far from the rooms. I think this place is pleasant in summer but is not suitable for winter. I thought it was great that the Relais was a hotel, telling myself that this way I wouldn't have to go out for the weekend, certainly I wasn't far away but as far as not going out was concerned, it was a failure. If I compare with another hotel-spa in the middle of the mountains which only had 3 stars, for me the practicality was much higher and there was staff for luggage. One wonders on what criteria the stars are awarded. Little surprise at departure, if you pay before leaving the room, just to save time since when you leave to have breakfast, you pass in front of the reception, you find the door to the room closed, if it is 11 a.m. .

Around €160/night + tourist taxes. Clean, and green spaces which is pretty cool. On the other hand, the rooms are not very well soundproofed.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Friendly staff whether at reception or in the restaurant/breakfast. Following a small problem on the 1st day in the bathroom of our room, the receptionist Gabriel was very responsive in giving us another very nice room in the building close to the reception. Very clean room, nothing to complain about! In addition, the housekeeper Constance was very professional in giving us the choice of room after several visits. Thank you to these two employees for their professionalism! The spa is very pleasant and the hotel is very well located not far from the city center while being quiet. We will return to this establishment!

We had a very pleasant time at the Relais de la Malmaison. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The dinner was perfect and very generous in a musical atmosphere offered in piano/voice by Celie. We recommend this establishment and will definitely return.
