Le Relais Saint-Michel sur Pontorson

The location of this hotel is simply wow! The view of Mont Saint-Michel is magnificent. The welcome was very pleasant; however, we were disappointed by the outdated state of the common areas and the room. Stains on the carpet, cobwebs in the room, and a musty smell. For a 4-star hotel, this is really quite disappointing. We didn't receive the parking access code; we had to contact reception. On the other hand, the restaurant (dinner) was fantastic; we thoroughly enjoyed it!

We had a wonderful time at the Relais Hotel. They were very flexible with our request (changing dates/hotel), helpful, and always smiling. The duplex room was ideal, with a superb view of the mountain and very clean. The food in the restaurant was very good, and there was a wide variety of choices at lunchtime. They are dog and kid friendly :)

Room 31 isn't very clean; I'm a bus driver and I often stay there, and it could use a bit of renovation. Otherwise, the food is impeccable.

The view from the room overlooking Mont Saint-Michel is truly worth the trip. The room matches the photos and is very clean, from the bedding to the bathroom. It's a shame there's a mound of earth under construction below the room, which detracts from the view. It's certainly being developed, but it's a shame that it detracts from the overall experience. The terrace walls need a fresh coat of paint, and the bathroom grout needs replacing. The decor is a bit dated, but the most important thing is the impeccable hygiene. The heating in the room also needs to be turned down; it's so hot it's impossible to sleep. We had to open the terrace door even though we had turned off the radiators, and this was in the middle of winter. These are the only drawbacks for this 4-star hotel. The restaurant is beautiful, and the food is good. Breakfast is plentiful and served quite late, which is a plus. The staff is very friendly. I recommend it.

The entire staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. The meals were excellent—refined and delicious cuisine without being heavy. The room was very clean and comfortable. The view of the mountain was magnificent. The shuttle bus stops right in front of the entrance; you just have to cross a small lawn.

The view room was amazing! The duplex room was spacious and perfect for a family of four. Plus, it had a Type-C outlet, super convenient! The only downside was that the room was a little dark. The breakfast selection was limited.

Upon booking, we received an email confirmation and thought everything was ready for our arrival. Unfortunately, once we arrived at the parking lot barriers, we didn't have the access code to enter the hotel. We had to wait on hold for over 15 minutes before we could reach someone. Once we got the code, we finally arrived at the hotel. We had booked half-board, and after someone confirmed that everything was in order, we weren't worried. But then came another unpleasant surprise: upon arrival, we were informed that our meal time had already passed, even though we hadn't been given any prior notice. We therefore had no choice but to accept the remaining time, which didn't really meet our expectations, or risk missing our meal. At breakfast, the scrambled eggs were undercooked, and the bacon was overcooked. Regarding cleanliness, the room was generally acceptable, but the stains on the carpet in the common areas left much to be desired. Finally, we couldn't adjust the air conditioning or heating to our liking, as there was no thermostat in the room. For a four-star establishment, the lack of facilities such as a swimming pool, sauna, or hammam is a significant shortcoming. We believe that the price charged, even considering the prime location, does not justify this deficiency.
