Le Relais Saint-Michel sur Pontorson

Our room was really nice. It would be even better if the windows were washed and if the room had air conditioning (the fan was not doing much). The emails I received prior to my arrival said call 48 hours in advance to confirm reservations and ask for a parking code if one was not received. I did not ever receive a parking code and when I called in advance, I was told I could not have the code until the day of arrival and to call back. Like others have comented it takes several attempts to actually reach someone. Multiple times while waiting I got disconnected. I decided to leave after arrival to go outside of the hotel to eat as the hotel's menu did not seem great for my family. Upon leaving the parking area, a ticket was in the machine slot that I grabbed, and the gate lifted. I did not think anything of this until I returned back from dinner and the code that was given to me earlier that day would no longer work nor did any ticket I had (at this point I had 2). Please take your ticket out of the machine as you leave to not mess up another guest (apparently I was supposed to put my own ticket in when leaving the gate - not get a new one)! I still do not know if you leave, do you need a new number to get in and if I had done it correctly, would I have been charged $12 euros just to check in the hotel, drop off my bags, and leave to eat dinner elsewhere? Regardless...this was a bad experience as when we returned NO ONE was answering our calls for over 15 minutes of trying to get into the gate. We decided to park in one of the back parking lots and we headed on foot to the hotel as it was getting dark. We kept calling while walking and before we arrived back to the hotel, someone finally answered our call and gave us a new code. There has to be a better way for this parking code system. I was a bit upset as the hotel was not busy and each time we walked past the check-in area it was empty with the hotel lady sitting at the desk. I assume anything could happen to make someone busy at any moment...but too many people have issues with this system. Make it better.

the reception is not great, either it’s empty or wrong information provided( for example we asked what time breakfast starts and were told that and 7:30, we arrived around 7:15 and there were already around 50 people …) The room is without AC, and even though understood that end of May was with crazy 35 degrees, 4 star hotel must have AC. The breakfast is great as well as staff at breakfast area (especially lady) and of course the view

Did not stay at hotel. Ate at the restaurant for dinner. View of mont st michel is ok but not worth the poor quality food. Really caters to tour busses crowd- Skip the restaurant if you are coming for the view.

The location of this hotel is simply wow! The view of Mont Saint-Michel is magnificent. The welcome was very pleasant; however, we were disappointed by the outdated state of the common areas and the room. Stains on the carpet, cobwebs in the room, and a musty smell. For a 4-star hotel, this is really quite disappointing. We didn't receive the parking access code; we had to contact reception. On the other hand, the restaurant (dinner) was fantastic; we thoroughly enjoyed it!

We had a wonderful time at the Relais Hotel. They were very flexible with our request (changing dates/hotel), helpful, and always smiling. The duplex room was ideal, with a superb view of the mountain and very clean. The food in the restaurant was very good, and there was a wide variety of choices at lunchtime. They are dog and kid friendly :)

The view from the room overlooking Mont Saint-Michel is truly worth the trip. The room matches the photos and is very clean, from the bedding to the bathroom. It's a shame there's a mound of earth under construction below the room, which detracts from the view. It's certainly being developed, but it's a shame that it detracts from the overall experience. The terrace walls need a fresh coat of paint, and the bathroom grout needs replacing. The decor is a bit dated, but the most important thing is the impeccable hygiene. The heating in the room also needs to be turned down; it's so hot it's impossible to sleep. We had to open the terrace door even though we had turned off the radiators, and this was in the middle of winter. These are the only drawbacks for this 4-star hotel. The restaurant is beautiful, and the food is good. Breakfast is plentiful and served quite late, which is a plus. The staff is very friendly. I recommend it.

Room 31 isn't very clean; I'm a bus driver and I often stay there, and it could use a bit of renovation. Otherwise, the food is impeccable.

The entire staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. The meals were excellent—refined and delicious cuisine without being heavy. The room was very clean and comfortable. The view of the mountain was magnificent. The shuttle bus stops right in front of the entrance; you just have to cross a small lawn.

The view room was amazing! The duplex room was spacious and perfect for a family of four. Plus, it had a Type-C outlet, super convenient! The only downside was that the room was a little dark. The breakfast selection was limited.
