Le Royal Hotel Restaurant sur Nice

We treated our in-laws to a stay at the Hotel Le Royal Nice through Smartbox, and they were delighted with their experience. They particularly enjoyed the room with its stunning sea view, as well as the excellent quality of the included half-board. The staff were incredibly attentive throughout their stay, making the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel is clean, as is the room, and the location on the Promenade des Anglais is ideal. One minor drawback, however, was a sewer smell in the bathroom, which could be addressed. But overall, it was a wonderful experience that we highly recommend!

The hotel's location is ideal, just a 15-minute walk from Old Nice, and the sea view from the room is incredible. Be aware, however, of the noise from the cars on the Promenade des Anglais, which is always very busy at night... it's the price to pay for a room with a beautiful sea view on the famous avenue. The staff is professional, and the breakfast buffet is very good. On the other hand, a huge drawback is the hotel's "restaurant," which offers a set menu for dinner. I absolutely do not recommend the half-board option. The experience is more like a cheap canteen than a restaurant: the food is completely uninspired, the wine is served by the pitcher, and the sterile atmosphere is reminiscent of a hospital. I think the establishment could significantly improve to offer a more enjoyable dining experience!

We were in Nice to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The room was perfect and the balcony with the sea view from the 5th floor was the icing on the cake! . The location was brilliant, overlooking the promenade and the bay. They had also arrange for flowers and some fizz which I had requested. Nothing was too much trouble. We are looking forward to our next stay.

The hotel is very well located, more or less in the middle of the Promenade des Anglais and facing the beach. The decor is classic, with vintage photographs of Nice and its beaches. The rooms are spacious, with sea views if you select that option. The beds are large, with comfortable mattresses. The bathroom is also spacious. In my opinion, they need to improve the selection of body lotion and shower gel/shampoo instead of using a single container for everything. Including conditioner would also be nice. A complimentary bottle of water would also be a nice touch. Regarding breakfast, although there isn't a huge variety, the quality is good. One thing to note is that they asked for a €150 deposit upon check-in for our two rooms, in case you "damage" anything in the room...

Great hotel, the staff are very friendly, the room was spotless and the breakfast was plentiful. I highly recommend it.

I loved this hotel, I'll be back!

One-night stay with my husband. Wonderful location and view! We chose a city view room for one night. But the sea view rooms, which they showed us, are spectacular! The reception staff were friendly and very helpful, Nicola, who explained everything to us in Italian. It's always nice to find someone who speaks our language. The only downside is that you can hear the noise, but in a historic building, that can't change much. The Nice seafront is fantastic! Thank you and keep up the good work! Wonderful memory.

A very beautiful hotel with sumptuous rooms. The staff is very attentive and kind! One small drawback was the breakfast service, where there weren't enough staff, and the food and cutlery weren't optimally stocked. We had a pleasant stay at your hotel! Thank you!
