While on holiday in Tonnerre, we ate at several restaurants in and around the town, and we went to Le Saint Père the day before our departure. It's by far the best restaurant in the area, both for the excellent food and the warm welcome. From the appetizers to the dessert, not to mention the infused rums, everything is a delight. I recommend it 1000%.

Fantastic evening, it was a real treat for my taste buds! The mussels and fries were amazing, and the dessert was to die for. It's always a pleasure to come and relax at your place. The welcome is always so warm! 👍👍👍

A quick stop (get it?) in town, and a visit to this highly-rated restaurant on Google. The atmosphere is definitely warm and welcoming. The wait was moderately long, but very transparent; we were warned beforehand. I appreciate that. The food is home-style, friendly, and the portions are generous. A great time spent here. Looking forward to another visit to grab some amazing Chablis. Of course. 😜

A delicious three-course meal, entirely homemade! We also enjoyed an excellent local wine, perfectly recommended by the owner. She is very friendly, attentive, and creates a wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant. We will definitely be back!

21/05/2026: This restaurant is a wonderful discovery! We enjoyed escargots à la Bourguignonne, the vegetarian alternative to oyster mushrooms (very tasty), and chicken Gaston Gérard, all accompanied by a good glass of Tonnerre wine. A real treat! The staff is lovely and gave great recommendations for visiting Tonnerre! We can't wait to come back to enjoy the terrace and try the rest of the menu.
