Le Scilicet sur Paris

Having been here before, I was expecting to find the same atmosphere I wanted to share with others, but to my surprise, there was no music outside on the terrace. If you want to dance, you have to go inside! The friendly atmosphere with the staff is still there, but the only problem is that it's too hot, so you only stay for the duration of the music and then you leave! Scilicet has lost some of its charm because of this, at least in my opinion, and it doesn't stand out from other bars! I remember discovering it precisely because of the music playing outside. The setting is still magnificent, but aside from the constant chatter of everyone, it's much less pleasant and much more gloomy. To give you an idea, there were even elderly people at the next table who felt there wasn't enough music, so you can imagine!

The welcome was good as usual, but without music or atmosphere it becomes just a bar where you pass through without staying, whereas we came wanting to have a drink on Sunday afternoon and ended up staying a little too long with our Kimono Guy

Great bar and great atmosphere usually. It's a shame there's no more music outside, it really affects the vibe...

Reasonable price for a bar by the Seine river. Outside area is really nice with an Eiffel tower view. Inside however, very small and quite hot. Toilets are dirty but you don’t have much choice around

Great place to get drinks by the canal. Not so great food or drinks, but the ambiance and the view of the eiffel tower over the cabal covers for all that. Specially great for sunsets!

10/10 Vibes. But nothing special when it comes to drinks or the place as a whole. On our first night, we passed by it during sunset and joined the local crowd at tables on the seine. It was a great energy intro into the city. Service is low-touch. You order up at the bar inside and head to the tables on your own. Nothing wrong with that, and we had a good time, but just go in with your eyes open and know you’re getting something simple with great views. If you’re travelling with a partner or friends and want to chat the night away, come here!
